3. Electric tricycles — classification first, headline stats second
Verified public nationwide annual export volume/value series dedicated solely to “electric tricycles” with a transparent HS basket were not located on CCCME or Customs open pages during this research pass (see Not found). What is verified is the classification logic from Tianjin Customs (link in section 1): wrong heading choices are a common compliance failure, and cargo units under 8704.6000 need an export licence.
For B2B sourcing, treat tricycle enquiries as model-specific (cargo vs passenger; steering / differential / reverse features; battery type; CBU vs SKD/CKD).
4. What these numbers mean for a factory-direct buyer
- Volume is plentiful; differentiation is operational. Category volumes are measured in tens of millions of units. Selection criteria shift to entity clarity, QC, documents, and after-sales — not “who claims the biggest factory photo.”
